Every week the Times and Speaker team up with the Scottish SPCA - Scotland’s animal welfare charity - in a bid to rehome an unwanted pet.
And this week it’s the turn of Elsa, a Rhodesian Ridgeback aged between eight and 10,who is being cared for by staff at the charity’s Lanarkshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre in Hamilton.
Centre manager Peter Fleming said: “Elsa is a quiet girl longing for her forever home. We feel Elsa will be best suited to a quiet adult only home as she can be a bit shy until she gets to know you.
“She is also a bit wary of loud noises and they sometimes frighten her. Elsa walks well on her lead and loves snuggling up in her bed. She enjoys getting fussed over but also likes exploring her surroundings and all the new smells.
“She loves her food which should come in handy when teaching her new tricks. Could you offer Elsa her new forever home?”
