Motherwell captain Keith Lasley has been lending his support to Mr Chef in Craigneuk as it seeks to be named Britain’s best takeaway.

Mr Chef were kind enough to supply the food for the ‘after party’ following Keith’s recent testimonial match so he was only too happy to give them his vote in the British Takeaway Awards.

Mr Chef owner Wasim Arshad said: “After being awarded Scotland’s top recognition of takeaway of the year for 2015, we were chosen by our local Just Eat rep to take on the might of Britain.

“We are Scotland’s sole representative and keen to see how we fair in the British takeaway awards to be held in the coming weeks in a glittering ceremony in London.

“Mr Chef is known for being innovative, creative and coming up with pizzas, kebabs, curries and deserts that nobody thought was possible and it is these products that distinguish us.

“However, Mr Chef will be up against the best of the best from throughout the UK and thus we require our customers to get behind us and need every single vote possible.

“Let’s put Craigneuk on the map and win this for Scotland.”
