Performing Arts students at Motherwell College are preparing to take part in a series of stage shows over the coming weeks.

Students on the BA Honours Musical Theatre and BA Acting course will perform in a number of shows in Glasgow’s Cottiers Theatre in the West End.

Featuring in the line-up will be an adaptation of George Orwell’s 1984, The House of Bernarda Alba and a reworking of Ben Elton and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Boys in the Photograph.

Head of Beauty, Sport and Performing Arts, David McShane, said: “These productions will showcase the talents of some of the finest actors and performers we have in the country.

“Our courses are designed to give students the breadth of experience needed for working within the industry, and pivotal to this experience, is to ensure our students perform before embarking on their careers.

“Glasgow’s West End provides an environment in which industry experts and professionals can scout for talent, allowing students to build key links within the industry.”
