TRIALS for the new Elite Performance School of Football and the current School of Football squads starting at Braidhurst in August have been completed at Ravenscraig regional sports facility.

The competition involved teams from Gibraltar, Switzerland, Northern Ireland, England, Wales and Scotland.

Joanne is one of six umpires from Scotland selected to be on the Talent Identification Programme, the aim of which is to develop umpires in Scotland to help them achieve the International Umpire Award with the prospect of officiating at the Commonwealth Games 2014.

To further enhance her training she has been selected to go down under to umpire the Australian under-17 and under-19 national finals in two weeks.
