FIRST and second year SFA School of Football pupils at Braidhurst recently received a visit from former Motherwell captain Stephen Craigan who gave a stirring talk covering his career.
After a personal introduction he went on to cover key aspects of becoming a professional footballer, including personal goal setting and good habits. He then placed particular emphasis upon the will and desire required to make a career in football.
Following what proved to be a quite inspirational talk, Stephen then confidently responded to a wide range of pertinent questions about the life of a professional footballer.
In his thanks to Stephen, rector Derrick Hannan commented favourably on the basic skill of the current pupils and said Stephen was a superb role model for them to keep in mind as they progress over the coming years.
