A GROUP of senior pupils from Bothwellpark High enjoyed their annual residential trip to Badaguish Lodges in Aviemore earlier this month.

The pupils - Scott Johnstone, Liam Hamilton, Zoe Ramage, Ross Williamson, Craig Dougal, Sheridan Potter, Marc Reid, Brian Denny, Mark Reilly and Fathima Saleem - took part in a range outdoor activities, including visits to a working sheepdog farm, The Landmark Centre and The Cairngorm Mountain Railway. Pupils also had the opportunity to take part in horse riding.

The purpose of this residential experience is to allow pupils the opportunity to make choices within the context of planning a holiday itenary and a great time was had by all even though the weather was not the best.

KILBOWIE TRIP: A further nine adventurous pupils from first, second and third year visited the Kilbowie Outdoor Centre in Oban.

Pupils Louise Waple, Lynn Mooney, Stephanie Gillooly, Emma Henderson, Brad Finnie, Amie Weir, Jay Burns, Nadine McDowell and Jamie Kirkwood travelled full of expectation and were not disappointed.

During the course of the week the pupils took part in a range of activities, including gorge walking, canoeing, riding on a speed boat, exploring beaches and a nightline walk. A relaxing disco rounded off what was a very active outdoor experience.

Despite being exhausted, pupils returned to school with many memories and were looking forward to next years’ residential experience.
