The body of a Motherwell man has been found three days after he went missing from his home.
Jason Logan (35) was last seen by his partner at his home in Chisholm Place in the Muirhouse area on Thursday evening.
Police said his body was discovered on Sunday by officers in an area close to Dalriada Crescent, three miles away in the town’s Forgewood.
A spokesman said a post mortem will take place to establish the exact cause of his death, but there appear at this stage to be no suspicious circumstances. A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
Earlier police had appealed for information on Mr Logan’s whereabouts, describing him as vulnerable.
It was thought he had left home in his silver Volkswagen Golf.
There was concern because he usually took medication and it was not known if he had that with him.
In her appeal 48 hours after he went missing, Sergeant Gail Nicol said: “Jason has gone missing before. For him to be gone for this long without speaking to friends or family is unlike him.”
