Ben is searching for a fresh start

LOOKING FOR A FRIEND . . . Ben.

EVERY week the Times & Speaker teams up with the Scottish SPCA in a bid to rehome a pet.

And this week is the turn of Ben, who is being looked after at the charity’s Lanarkshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre in Hamilton.

Lorraine Alba, assistant manager at the centre, said: “Ben is a gorgeous crossbreed aged between three and five-years-old who is looking for a fresh start. He’s a really affectionate chap with lots of love to offer his new owner.

“Ben can be a bit nervous of fast movements so he’s looking for a home with older children, if there are any.

“He walks perfectly on his lead, is very intelligent and knows basic commands.”

If you can give Ben a loving home, please call the SSPCA Animal Helpline 03000 999 999, quoting ref Motherwell Times.

The Lanarkshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre, on Bothwell Road, is open Monday to Sunday from 10am until 4pm.
