A spitting mad Motherwell youth who has a problem with police officers has been locked up for the second time in a matter of months.

Josh Henderson (20), of Muirhouse Tower, got a six-month sentence at Hamilton Sheriff Court.

He admitted spitting at three police officers during a disturbance in Coltness on April 19. He also admited spitting at a fourth officer at Motherwell police station and hurling racist abuse at two officers.

Henderson had only recently been freed after another six-month stretch imposed in November for spitting at two police officers, hitting another officer and resisting arrest. That happened in Corrie Drive, Motherwell, in October.

Sheriff David Bicket cut the latest sentence from nine months due to Henderson’s early guilty plea.
