Businesses across North Lanarkshire got into the spirit of the Commonwealth games Games by taking part in a best dressed window competition.
Organised by Town Centre Activities Ltd, and promoted on its Facebook page, the competition saw 13 businesses dress their windows in the theme of the Games to welcome visitors to North Lanarkshire as they came to see the triathlon which was being held at Strathclyde Park.
Taking part in the competition was Abacus, Blossom, CEX, Denholm Bakers, Poundemonium, Flowers of Scotland, Pure and Sleepy Valley of Motherwell.
Also involved were the Post Office and Boots in Bellshill, Nursery Needs and Cross Butchers in Kilsyth and West End Bar in Airdrie.
Denholm Bakers and Blossom were neck and neck for the most part of the competition, however Denholm Bakers took the lead and finished up with 400 votes for their Scottish bowls team themed window.
Blossom was a very worthy runner-up with 296 votes for their cyclist made of flowers.
