Hair-raising experience for kind-hearted young Shelly

A caring youngster has braved having her long hair chopped to donate it for a wig for children suffering hair loss.

Kind-hearted 11-year-old Shelly McBrier had 16 inches of her hair cut for the Little Princess Trust.

Shelly, a pupil at St Michael’s Primary on Moodiesburn, also raised £300 for the charity.

Her friends at the local youth club watched as she underwent the massive hair cut.

Shelly’s mum Donna said: “Shelly is a very caring and supportive wee girl. She’s always thinking about others.

“We would like to thank everyone in the Moodiesburn community for their generosity.”
