A BELLSHILL school girl will sing for a worldwide audience this weekend to raise money for charity.

Sacred Heart Primary pupil Rianne Downey (11) will perform at Events Live Online on Saturday from 4-5pm in aid of Children’s Hospice Association (Scotland).

The promoters of the website, www.eventsliveonline.co.uk, invited her to do a concert after tracks from CDs she recorded at the Foundry Music Lab in Flemington were put up on Youtube.

Rianne, of Sapphire Road, is no stranger to the limelight playing the lead in this year’s show Wizard of Oz at Sacred Heart School.

She is also a member of UK Theatre School in Glasgow and recently appeared in the BBC drama Field of Blood with Peter Capaldi and David Morrissey.

Her mum Lorraine said: “Rianne could sing before she could talk, although I’m not very sure where she gets it from, and just loves anything to do with music and performing.

“After the promoters heard the songs online she was delighted to be asked to held CHAS as obviously it is a charity that directly helps children.”

Rianne has also prduced a new CD to raise more funds for CHAS which is availabel from various location around Bellshill,priced £3.
