A CLASSIC tale of youthful rebellion has returned to the big screen with the release of Footloose, out now at The Vue in Hamilton.

Based on the 80s classic, Kenny Womald steps into Kevin Bacon’s dance shoes as Ren McCormack.

Ren moves to Beaumont, a small town coming to terms with the deaths of several teenagers in an accident after a dance party.

He challenges the ban on dancing put in place by the Reverend Moore (Dennis Quaid) to make sure nothing like it ever happens again, and it doesn’t help that he also catches the eye of Moore’s beautiful daughter, Ariel (Julianne Hough).

Will the town’s elders accept that things need to move on or will Ren’s talent for dancing be squashed forever?

Every week the Times & Speaker and The Extra have three pairs of tickets for The Vue in Hamilton to give away to see any film of your choice.

See October 20 edition for entry details.
