GLASGOW Philharmonic Male Voice Choir is holding an open rehearsal in Uddingston Old Parish Church next weekend.
The event at 2pm on Sunday, April 15, is an opportunity for people who missed out on tickets to the choir’s sell-out spring concert in Glasgow to hear them.
Entry is free, but there will be an opportunity to make a donation to the Phew, the church’s nominated charity, which helps people with learning disabilities and complex needs in the Uddingston area.
Principal conductor William Barr said: “We have many loyal supporters in the Lanarkshire area and this is a chance not just to hear the choir in rehearsal, but to see some of the work that goes into the preparation of a concert and we are delighted that any proceeds will go to Phew.
The choir will also be representing Scotland at two prestigious events in London this year.
On July 7 they take part in the Choir of the World Concert in The Royal Festival Hall, and then in October will appear at the Royal Albert Hall as part of the London Welsh Choirs Festival of Male Choirs.
