The Manfreds, featuring the original vocalist from 60s chart toppers Manfred Mann, are coming to Motherwell Theatre with their ‘Five Faces Tour’ on Friday.

Touring with original Manfred Mann frontman Paul Jones, The Manfreds will be performing an intimate live show featuring many tracks from their highly acclaimed album, The Five Faces of Manfred Mann.

First released in the UK in September 1964 it was called ‘one of the great blues-based British invasion albums’, peaking at number three in the charts.

Manfred Mann would release another five albums during the decade and also scored number one hits with Do Wah Diddy Diddy, Pretty Flamingo and Mighty Quinn.

Paul Jones will be joined by Mike Hugg on keyboards, Tom McGuinness on lead guitar, Road Townsend on drums, Marcus Cliffe on bass guitar and Simon Currie on saxophone and flute.

Motherwell Theatre hosts a night of varied performance, with a few ‘surprise’ renditions thrown in.

The show starts at 7.30pm and tickets costing £19.50 (£17.50 concession) are available by calling the box office on 01698 403120 or visit {http://www.northlanarkshire.gov.uk/entertainment|NLCentertainment|NLCe)
