Taxi for Cinderella!

THE cast of this year's panto at Motherwell Theatre made their first visit to the venue.

And Cinderella arrived in style, in the Smooth Radio pink taxi. Actress Elaine McKenzie Ellis plays Cinders and the taxi is not unlike the one she drives in her popular TV role as Tina in CBeebies hit Me Too.

Joining Elaine in this year's cast are Gillian Ford and Paul Harper-Swan as Cinderella and her Prince Charming, the most horrible Ugly Sisters in the business - Motherwell favourite John Hannibal and comic Bruce Devlin, Gavin Paul as Dandini , Jim McPhee as Baron Hardup and Paul James Corrigan as the irrepressible Buttons.

Gillian Ford and Paul Harper-Swan are both former Motherwell College students and Paul played Prince last year in Motherwell too.

Paul James Corrigan is a former Coatbridge College student and star of family shows at Glasgow's Citizens Theatre. Cinderella has the same producers as last year's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

Tickets are selling well and theatre staff expect Cinderella to be another hit.

Cinderella runs from Wednesday 21 November 2007 to Saturday 05 January 2008 and tickets start from 10 with discounts available for groups of six or more.

Customers can book now by calling 01698 403120, visiting Motherwell Concert Hall and Theatre or any North Lanarkshire Library. Selected performances are also available online at www.northlan.gov.uk (click on 'Book tickets online', under 'Service requests').
