MORE than 250 people visited Motherwell College to see the work of some of Scotland’s newest up-and-coming talent from across the Computing, IT and Creative Arts Department.

For the first time, the annual Creative Showcase event encompassed not only photography, but also animations and montage shots, plus contemporary digital design.

Department head Matthew Smith said: “The Creative Showcase gives us the opportunity to exhibit the breadth of talent and range of exciting courses we have here at the college.

“We are always conscious to keep up with emerging trends and in particular, the bourgeoning development of the creative industries in Scotland.

“We wanted to extend the already established and successful photography exhibition by encompassing filmcraft and animation and interactive media to show off the wealth of talent and opportunities available on offer at Motherwell.

“We would like to congratulate all the students for their hard work, without whom this would not have been possible.”
