School pupils develop their creative side
Young artists and musicians from the local area had their work featured at Summerlee Museum in Coatbridge in an exhibition called 'The Creative Residency'.
The exhibition featured over 50 examples of visual and applied arts resulting from North Lanarkshire Council's seventh annual summer programme for senior pupils, held at the Kilbowie Centre, by Oban.
Christine Pollock, head of the council's learning and leisure services, said: "I am just amazed at the continuing quality of work that comes out of our summer residencies at the Kilbowie Centre.
"By both challenging their creative thinking and enhancing their practical skills, the residency gives these young people the chance to make a significant contribution to their future."
