Our Lady's opera hit the road

DUE to the refurbishment of the Motherwell Theatre and Concert Hall complex Our Lady's High School Former Pupils' Light Opera Society are taking their spring and autumn productions on the road.

The spring production will see the society repeat their 2009 concert tour arrangement with a new programme of solos, duets, ensembles and full choral numbers.

The show entitled 'Sing, Sing, Sing' features a wide range of songs from films, musicals and opera and will be performed at Motherwell, Airdrie and East Kilbride next month.

The programme is drawn from a wide range of shows to suit all tastes including 'Anything Goes', 'Rent', 'West Side Story', 'Fiddler on the Roof', 'Guys and Dolls', 'Wicked', 'Les Miserables', 'We Will Rock You' and 'Hannibal'.

'Sing, Sing, Sing' will be performed at Sir John Wilson Town Hall, Airdrie, in aid of St Andrew's Hospice, on Tuesday, April 13; South Dalziel Studios, Motherwell, in aid of Epilepsy, Scotland, on Thursday, April 15 and Friday, April 16; and The Village Theatre, East Kilbride, on Saturday, April 17, in aid of Kilbryde Hospice.

Each show will begin at 7.30pm and tickets costing 10 are available from any member of the society or by calling ticket manager Christine Kelly on 01698 733502.
