MOSSEND’S 2011 Miss Scotland finalist finally received her crown at a recent international beauty pageant.

Flame-haired beauty Layla Ferguson finished third in the final of Miss Scotland earlier this year - and now she has the Miss European Princess of Scotland title to be proud of.

The 18-year-old took part in the contest which was held in Kent after being approached by the organisers who saw her in the Miss Scotland finals.

She competed in a group of 10 girls from Scotland and was selected as the winner which means she will go to next year’s event in Portugal to hand over the crown to her successor.

Layla said: “I had a great time taking part in the competition and I am happy to have won.”
