Josh provides back up to The Soliders
Canadian singer songwriter Josh Taerk has been chosen to support The Soldiers when they perform at Motherwell Concert Hall on Saturday.
Josh (20) was discovered by E Street Band member Max Weinberg and counts Bruce Springsteen among his fans.
The Toronto native has already built up an enormous following in his homeland and now hopes to make a mark on the British music scene.
He said: “I love the crowds in the UK and I’m definitely looking forward to coming back for The Soldiers’ tour.
“I would say that the biggest difference between Canada and the UK would just be population density.
“It can be challenging to reach out to new audiences in Canada, but the UK is a great place to play live because there is a bigger population in a smaller area.
“As such there is a greater opportunity to be able to have your songs heard by a different crowd each night.”
The Soldiers, supported by Josh Taerk, starts at 7.30pm. Tickets costing £22.50 (£20.50 concessions) are available from the box office on 01698 403120 or visit www.northlanarkshire.gov.uk.
