A MOTHERWELL pub is hosting a 19-day beer festival next month.
Weatherspoons’ Brandon Works in Merry Street will showcase five American cask-conditioned beers at the event which will run from Wednesday, October 5, to Sunday, October 23.
The five American beers are being brewed in the UK by their respective brewers to their individual recipes.
They include Kalamazoo Black Silk (Bells, Michigan), Sandiago Session IPA (Stone, California), Cascadian Dark Ale (Bend, Oregon), Yakima Sun (Fat Head, Ohio) and Ninety Shilling (Odells, Colorado).
Beers from across the UK will also be served including those brewed for the first time exclusively for the festival, speciality beers with interesting ingredients including fruit, spices, honey and beers no longer brewed, but resurrected for the event.
Philip Hedge-Holmes, pub manager, said: “The festival will give people the opportunity to enjoy a superb selection of American beers not usually available in the UK, as well as wonderful beers brewed closer to home.
“The festival promises to be great fun and I am certain that customers at The Brandon Works will enjoy themselves.”
Tasting notes on all of the beers will be available in the pub.
