Two salesmen compete with a group of young geniuses for employment in The Internship, released at the Showcase in Bargeddie on Friday.
Billy McMahon (Vince Vaughn) and Nick Campbell (Owen Wilson) are salesmen whose careers have been torpedoed by the digital world.
Trying to prove they are not obsolete, they defy the odds by talking their way into a coveted internship at Google, along with a battalion of brilliant college students.
However, they soon find that gaining entrance to this digital utopia is only half the battle.
Now they must compete with a group of the nation’s most elite, tech-savvy geniuses to prove that necessity really is the mother of reinvention.
Vaughn and Jared Stern, who has worked on several Disney pictures, co-wrote the screenplay from Vaughn’s story and veteran comedy director Shawn Levy (Night at the Museum, Pink Panther) is at the helm.
The Intership is rated 12A and runs 119 minutes.
