NEWARTHILL actress Elaine C Smith has hinted she is set to play Susan Boyle in a film about the singing star’s life.
The Rab C Nesbitt actress has been chosen to portray the Lothian spinster in the movie which will chart her incredible rise to fame since appearing on Britain’s Got Talent.
The comedienne landed the role after ‘SuBo’ (50), revealed in an interview that she would be her perfect choice to play her.
Elaine (52), best known as Rab C’s long-suffering wife Mary Doll, dropped hints about the project in an interview on BBC Radio Scotland and said an official announcement would be made soon.
She said: “The project I am about to embark on is one that I never thought would come my way and it is huge.
“Let’s just say it’s involving Susan Boyle and myself. It’s all a done deal now and Susan has been told about it too.”
