BUILDING on the success of previous photography exhibitions, this year’s Creative Showcase at Motherwell College is growing.

On show from 6pm to 8.30pm on Thursday, May 17, will be the very best up and coming talent in photography as well as exhibitions from filmcraft and animation and interactive media.

Work from across the department of computing, IT & creative arts will be on display including pieces from this year’s HNC/D Photography, animations and montage shots from HNC Filmcraft and Animation and projects from HNC/D Interactive Media displaying advances in web design and development and computer games.

Department head Matthew Smith said: “Following the success of previous exhibitions, the department is proud to be showcasing the creative talents of all our students.

“We are welcoming family, friends, staff and students – past, present and future – to come along to the college to support the students and to view the high calibre of work on display.

“The Creative Showcase is a calendar highlight and a chance to show-off the wealth of talent we have here at the college.”

Visitors can also learn more about courses and speak to students and staff about what’s on offer as well as having the opportunity to order any of the photography prints on display and take away a programme of the work.

Entry on the night is £5 which includes a complimentary buffet and beverages.
