All I wanna do is rock

A SMALL town girl and a city boy meet on the Sunset Strip while pursuing their Hollywood dreams, in the big screen adaptation of theatre smash Rock of Ages, out now at the Showcase in Bargeddie.

Set in 1987 Los Angeles, Drew (Diego Boneta) and Sherrie (Julianne Hough) are two young people chasing their dreams in the big city.

When they meet, it’s love at first sight, though their romance will face a series of challenges not least with the presence of veteran rock star Stacee Jaxx (Tom Cruise).

Like the theatre production, the film is built around classic rock hits from the 1980s, especially famous ‘hair metal’ bands of the decade including Bon Jovi, Guns N’ Roses, Def Leppard, Foreigner, Journey, Poison, Europe, and Twisted Sister.
