DALZIEL High School was a picture of health last week as its annual health fayre took place.

The event, featuring a wide range of health-related activities, kicked off on Monday with an official opening ceremony performed by Scott Frew, a member of the British Olympic handball squad.

Motherwell defender Steven Saunders also went along to support the event and as usual the school’s assembly hall hosted a variety of health related stalls and exhibitions.

All pupils got the chance to visit the exhibition and have their blood pressure and body mass index checked, while other attractions during the week include a beach volleyball competition, Get it On dance competition and staff v pupils rowing challenge.
