PUPILS and staff at Sacred Heart Primary in Bellshill are enjoying the delights of a new specially created community wildlife garden.

Children from the school’s gardening and health committee have worked hard, helping to design the garden which will be called ‘The Garden of Fun, Friends United in Nature’, a name chosen by Amy Boyle a primary 4 child in the school.

The children and teachers worked with Paul McGill, a local landscape gardener from McGill Landscaping Company, to create the facility which was opened to coincide with the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations in a ceremony attended by invited guests, including Bellshill councillor Harry Curran and members of the local community.
