TRAC Engineering Ltd has successfully graduated from the Carbon Trust’s carbon management programme underlining its commitment to becoming more energy efficient.
The Eurocentral-based company was recognised by John Swinney, Cabinet Secretary for Finance, Employment and Sustainable Growth, at a ceremony in Edinburgh.
This is the ninth year the programme has been running and so far over 170 Scottish public and private sector organisations have developed an energy saving carbon management plan.
The programme aims to improve the management of buildings energy use, vehicle fleets, street lighting and recycling of waste to allow businesses to save money looking five to 10 years into the future.
Trac managing director Rab Watt said: “The Carbon Trust has helped us to focus and support our approach to efficiency with a credible plan offering considerable cost savings. It’s simple and what we all naturally want to do.”
