Brannock High

BRANNOCK High has engaged in a working global partnership with the charity Scotia Aid, and in particular with the Holy Family School, Freetown, Sierra Leone.

Scotia Aid was founded in 2000 in response to the reality that Sierra Leone is statistically the worst place to be born in the world and strives to improve standards in health care, education and social infrastructure.

The partnership commitment is focused upon curriculum based learning, establishing a solid foundation of effective communications between all partners, including students, school staff and Scotia Aid representatives.

A delegation of staff, including teachers from Freetown, recently visited Brannock to establish the project and their visit was an outstanding success. All involved now look forward to further developing a range of projects.

For more news from Brannock High and other schools in the area see this week’s Motherwell Times or Bellshill Speaker.
